Recycle was my inspiration

Some times I just want to show my personality in my gifts to others or in this case in the wrapping.  All I used was shoe boxes, magazine pages, some scrap paper, decorative tape and Trader Joe's paper bags.
I don't think it's my best wrapping but unique and that's what I was going for.  I think its always good to add your personality in everything you do.

Halloween Costumes

Matteo is two and five months old, so I thought it would be good to let him have some say on his Halloween costume.  We took him to the Halloween store and asked him if he like something and of course he like all the super heroes.  We knew he liked Batman, so we knew Batman was going to be a for sure option but we never thought that the second option was going to be Captain America. He tried both costumes and even though he seemed to like Captain America more, when we asked him which one he wanted he said batman, so we went home with it.

Butttttt..... We had to take the Batman costume back because it just seemed a bit small.  Our plan was to take it back and exchange it for a bigger size butttttt......

We found Spider-man in his size and decided to have him try it on.

He liked this one better than Batman. So spider man it is!!!!!! he just loves the muscles he gets when he becomes Spider man hehe.

"Gol Glol" (Soccer)

Saturday is "Gol Gol"day. Matteo is getting better and better at soccer and it makes me so happy. He does have to pay more attention to coach, but I'm sure he'll get the hang of it, he is only two after all.

October Fun

October is a super busy month for our family and it's also a really fun month.  This past weekend we went to the neighborhood school since every year they have a harvest event. They had music, Metro and the fire fighters were present.  Matteo had a blast dancing and participating in all the games along with the neighborhood kids.

On Sunday we took him the pumpkin patch with his cousin Isla and Talya.

Messy Mondays!

A few weeks ago Matteo started a class called Messy Mondays.  It is such a great idea to take our kids to a place where they can have the freedom to play with things are very very messy and we (moms or dads) don't have to worry about cleaning the mess.  YAY!! I just love this class hehehe.  Here are some pictures.

More Milestones

October is one of my favorite months and we are sure enjoying this month now that my baby (he will always be my baby) has learn how to ride his tricycle.  I think his legs are strong enough that he can push the pedals and go go gooooo! hehe. Now we'll enjoy our walks around the neighborhood even more, with Matteo riding his tricycle next to us YAY!

Here is a short video.

My New Addiction!

Infused water is a new thing for me, and I see it more and more in the web. What I have notice is that some people call it infused water and others call it detox water; either way I love it and I know it's healthy.  This is my favorite recipe:

~purified water
~1 sliced lemon
~A handful of raspberries
~10 mint leaves

You just have to let it sit for a few hours (I let it sit over night) and it's ready!!!

QUE RICA AGUA!

Matteo is growing up!

My little Matteo is growing up, and it really hit me when I had to take the crib out of his room and replace it with his cool car bed :( A bit sad but now I had a new project to tackle.  His bedroom had to grow up too.  I, like so many other people, looked for inspiration in Pinterest. I wanted something graphic and with color and we end it up with something that we all liked.  Here are the pictures of our weekend project.

He wanted to paint too, so he had his own painting project.
It was fun to see him getting paint all over him, but it was not fun when I had to clean him.
 Before we pulled the tape:
After pulling the tape:
He was relaxing and reading his book.  I soooo want to be him!
We also made a book ledge for all his books.  It was also a Pinterest idea!
